Angel Tree December 21, 2009

My church has the privilege of partnering up with Angel Tree, a ministry of prison fellowship each year around Christmas. Out in the colonnade we set up a tree and hang little ornaments, each with the name of  a child, their age, and a desired gift. A person or family can pick one up and go shopping for that child, wrap the gift, and return it to the church. Some church members sign up to take the gifts from the church to the families house. It’s a blessing to be a part of this ministry. In the past, I have always picked up a child’s name and gone shopping and brought the gift back. This year me and two friends who have done it before, are going to deliver the gifts tonight. We have three bags full-one for each of the three families we are going to deliver gifts to tonight. I’m so excited. I’ll let you know how it goes.
